Mal Weeraratne experienced Tantra Specialist and Educator| Tantric JourneyEmotional Detox Through Bodywork is an alternative healing modality which is transformational by nature and has the powerful capacity to releasing stored emotional trauma down to cellular level. Emotional release at cellular level can bring about a remarkable emotional and physical transformation literally changing lives and transforming a person’s entire physical and emotional body.

Established by Mal Weeraratne, author of “Emotional Detox, Emotional Detox Through Bodywork” the practice of Emotional detox has become well-known as a means of healing, one which is based on awakening to the philosophies of both Tantra and Tao. Also known as Emotional Release, Emotional detox is like performing a physical detoxification of the body. It is geared to help the body to purge emotional toxins from the body to free the mind and body from old and stagnant emotions which may be holding a person back from living a well balanced and purposeful life. Events in our past which have caused us to react in fear, shame, guilt, insecurity, or grief, are not always passed from the body and are stored within the body where they can create disease and emotional stress on the body and mind. These emotions and feelings should ideally be processed and leave the body in the same way as the things that we in-take in the form of food and drink do. When the body is not functioning optimally, it can hold onto and store things which should ideally be released.

Mal Weeraratne’s Emotional Detox Through Bodywork is holistic in approach and works in alignment with the mind-body connection which links the three energy bodies, namely: physical body, energetic or emotional body and the spiritual body.

Emotional release, if practiced with certified practioner, Mal Weeraratne, will facilitate the cessation or curbing of  the retention toxic emotions and improve the body’s ability to flush out all existing or new toxins facilitating a fresh start from where it can better function. This is what the aim of Emotional Detox is. The body is a complex emotional matrix affected by the multitude of micro or macro events and situations which we encounter as we go through life. All the organs, endocrines and body parts form integral parts of the whole that is the body / mind.  Mental and emotional triggers can lead to diseases such as depression, insomnia, cancer or diabetes. When we release these trapped emotions and traumas, as part of an emotional detox, this affords the body the ability to start again from a significantly healthier standpoint.

Benefits of Emotional Detox with Mal Weeraratne include easing symptoms of mental and physical afflictions such as stress, anxiety and depression thereby increasing one’s drive for engaging and reducing any fears or pain. This can increase one’s self-confidence and rebuild a person’s sense of self-worth and belonging. Increased confidence and self-esteem in turn curb poor body image and lessens body shaming of the self. Not to mention physical difficulties such as PMS and period pains, or any other associated dysfunctions.

Some might say that we are in unprecedented times as the globe turns hopefully towards healing from the ravages of the last two or so years. Unprecedented because never has everyone across the entire globe been taken siege in the way that we experienced with the Covid-19 pandemic which was able to spread like wild-fire, zig-zagging its way around the world, fuelled by the ability of human beings to move with ease across continents, thanks to technology. While the world has faced world wars, and pandemics, natural disasters, and environmental crisis before, nothing compared to the devastating effects caused by a super-spreading virus, which has caused untold financial and emotional devastation and destroyed families through tragic loss of life. There is not one person who has not in some way been affected by the events of the last years so if you are one of those people who experienced any of the emotional, physical, or spiritual repercussions of the pandemic, Mal Weeraratne has a ground-breaking approach to emotionally detox the body and help you with shedding negativity so that you may look to the future with a new outlook on life.

Anyone who is not only ready, but in need of releasing negative emotions will benefit from the body-mind healing by Mal Weeraratne who has spent almost all his life working with and helping people to detox from the effects of negative emotions, thoughts and feelings which they carry from a past of sadness, disappointment and fear. Mal Weeraratne, utilises the ancient art –form of Tantric and Taoist bodywork, which he combines with the knowledge and emotional intelligence from the study of Human Sexuality. Mal Weeraratne has assisted thousands of people and couples heal and grow into to health and loved one again after experiencing bad outcomes from previous relationships and events.

Embracing traditional Indian and Chinese beliefs and practices, Mal Weeraratne has developed his unique style of Tantric-Tao practices, which work with the energy centres of the body, customarily known as the Chakras, to initiate the release of life energy. In both Indian ad Chinese traditions, it is believed that energy flows through all living things and when they are in alignment, these energies facilitate and sustain the body’s natural healing ability. Both philosophies also recognise that sexual energy is the basis of life energy, which is why tantric energy plays such a pivotal role in the healing process. Increased tantric energy is just one of the many benefits recipients of the Tantric practices that Mal Weeraratne shares with singles, couples and healing practitioners in his sessions and workshops, integrating Eastern wisdom with Western knowledge of science.

Release any negative feelings and experiences that may have been instrumental in creating a future without joy, in which you were not functioning at your very best and replace those negative thoughts and emotions by emotionally detoxing with Tantric Journey. Doing so will create a positive space for new and positive experiences may enter into your world and help you to fulfil your higher purpose.

Mal Weeraratne is a certified Tantra Educator and a British pioneer of Emotional release through bodywork, with over 20 years of experience, treating over 3000 clients from all walks of life from the UK, USA, Europe and Asia. Mal Weeraratne was born in Sri-Lanka, with an Eastern upbringing and a Buddhist Philosophy. He was educated in London and holds a BSc (Hon) degree in Bio Physical Science, DMS, MBA, CTE.

Mal Weeraratne has studies with both Charles Muir (Tantra) and Mantak Chia (Tao) and has recently released his first book, EMOTIONAL DETOX THROUGH BODYWORK.

Understanding my work

Mal is the founder of Tantric Journey Bodywork which releases layers of trapped negative emotion that have been stored within the cellular system, this can prompt a healing crisis to occur. Mal has treated thousands of clients from all over the world and has encountered many clients that have been confused about the initial symptoms of emotional release.

Mal Weeraratne explains that, ‘’It is important to understand that when we begin to strip away layers of armour through bodywork, it can be as significant and painful as the original trauma because the first stage of a healing crisis is to come out of numbness and bring back sensation and emotion to the body.’’ If you have been numb for years it can be frightening when the sensations arise. Coming out of numbness into sensation is the first step in healing, but it can be a daunting process.

The release of trapped negative emotions may take place during the session and after the session; indeed it is usual for this to continue for up to three days after treatment.

Typically, three days after treatment you will be less negative and feel more positive and alive. The healing recovery process will depend on the amount of blocks one has and the intensity of the treatment. Some clients have taken over 2-3 weeks to recover and there is no way of telling how long recovery will take. Release comes in many forms and the most common indications that you’re experiencing a healing crisis can include headache, nausea, and fever. During the crisis, a recurrence of symptoms from long forgotten illnesses may also occur, but every client is different and so are their symptoms.

Remember when experiencing an ‘emotional cleanse’, which is what Tantric Journey bodywork does for you it is important to keep sight of the fact that it is normal and only to be expected that the anxieties that we wish to cleanse will appear to worsen post-treatment this all a natural process of bringing the emotions to the surface so that they can be cleared out. This time can be very difficult and can mean that you feel very vulnerable, it is not the therapy or therapist to blame for the negative feeling, just a natural elimination of negative emotions that have been stored within your bodies cellular memory.  You need to drink plenty of water and natural juices, avoiding caffeine, alcohol and stimulants and eat a healthy diet to aid the process; but most importantly talk to your therapist and make sure you have lots of positive support around you.

Emotional Detox through bodywork

In Mal Weeraratne’s book, ‘Emotional Detox through Bodywork’ he explains how, harnessing sexual energy rejuvenates and improves physiological, emotional, psychological and spiritual health.

This is a self-help guide that is jammed full practical advice and techniques to teaches women how to take control of the sexual energy within their bodies to remove trauma stored in the form of emotions.

The book is really an explanation of Author Mal Weeraratne treatment technique called Tantric Journey which encompasses Tantric-Tao Bodywork. A technique developed by Mal to eliminate traumatic experiences at a cellular level in the body in order to start living a positive life. Mal has developed the technique over the course of two decades and has gone on to successfully treat over three thousand women with his specialist treatment plan.

In his book, Mal reveals how all women are capable of experiencing emotional freedom and ecstatic bliss and goes on to provide readers with a unique understanding of how the female body may be activated to deepen ecstatic states.

Emotional Detox through bodywork is packed with practical advice and tips and readers will learn emotional trauma can block pleasure and cause disease; the difference between soft penetration and deep sustained penetration, including how to avoid premature male ejaculation; the secrets and history of female ejaculation; techniques for awakening and yoni massage; and will come to understand how emotional trauma can block pleasure and cause disease.

My Truth – Mal Weeraratne

Bodywork is a therapy that can be misunderstood and treatments can go wrong due to a lack of understanding of treatment processes and through trauma transference and projections.

When releasing stagnant negative emotions through bodywork the client and therapist are both placed in a vulnerable position.

Through bodywork the client effectively heals themselves through the presence and direction of an experienced therapist. The therapist is a catalyst and guide for the release of trauma, working on trigger points to aid the accessing and eventual release of negative emotions. Before the emotions can be released they must be accessed and fully felt in the clients body, this may lead to her feeling sad, angry, despairing and vulnerable etc. This is all part of the process of emotional detox through bodywork, but because the client is experiencing ‘emotional pain’ it is possible for them to feel abused due to their emotional turmoil and vulnerability or to transfer the blame for their negative feelings on to the therapist; in short a therapist’s intentions can be misconstrued and they can also become scapegoat for negative emotional experiences that occur during treatment.

Performing bodywork on someone who is suffering emotional trauma and emotionally detoxing can be likened to cracking an eggshell. To someone going through this process the act of having their body touched in the course of treatment can be incredibly painful and damaging as the outer body is not strong enough to hold onto the emotions in response to deep bodywork. It is at this stage that trauma transference can occur and a client can come to blame the therapist for the terrible emotional upset they feel and sometimes become confused about the intentions of the therapist, especially if the client has experienced abuse as the negative emotions connected with this will surface.

It is essential that therapists are fully aware of the emotions that they may experience after a treatment and that the therapist is fully supportive during and after a therapy session, so that a client can complete her emotion process cycle in a safe and supportive environment without the need to explain or quantify her feelings.

The female orgasm is a subject that does not receive much serious publicity; it is largely misunderstood and remains a mystery to majority of people including medical professionals. According to several major surveys, only 25 per cent of women always climax during sex with a partner.  For majority of women orgasm is elusive, with it occurring infrequently or in many cases never occurring at all.

For many women who cannot achieve orgasm it becomes a source of anxiety and embarrassment with many believing that there’s something wrong with them if they can’t climax to order.  This sense of abnormality only serves to heighten the problem and a sense of despair is often felt by women when they feel that there is nowhere to turn for help.

Effective treatment is available to combat anorgasmia through a revolutionary treatment called Tantric Journey. Mal treats sexual dysfunctions instigated by deeply rooted problems. These can include:  lack of sexual education, strong religious upbringing, past sexual abuse, negative relationships and high levels of anxiety associated with sex.
